Being small has distinct advantages.  p.s.l. marketing resources has brought together some of the most experienced and successful people in their fields.  Our people have solid, client-side experience in traditional packaged goods management, but with significant additional experience in advertising, package design, retail, and sales/promotion services.


Nancy joined p.s.l. marketing resources as a principal in its second year of operation.  Her previous career included brand management at Procter & Gamble and Heublein Wine Division, and on the service side with Foote, Cone & Belding and Addison Design Consultants.  Nancy has worked with some of the world's best-known brands and has special interests in brand repositioning, brand and corporate identification, market research and kids marketing. Nancy earned her M.B.A. at the University of Denver.


Dave Preuss adds 25 years of strategic marketing and brand management experience to the depth of p.s.l.  Dave was President/CEO of The EVB Company (EVB), and the owner and operator of a chain of eight Emil Villa’s Barbecue family restaurants.  Prior to owning and operating the Bay Area restaurants, Dave assumed the role of Vice President-Marketing for Clorox-Spain before moving on to become the Manager of New Business Development at The Clorox Company. Dave has an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.


Laura brings extensive experience in brand management, strategic planning and advertising from her 14 year marketing career at companies including Del Monte Food, American Home Products, Levi Strauss, and Laurence, Charles, Free & Lawson, a mid-size advertising company. Laura received her M.B.A. from Colgate Darden, University of Virginia and B.A. from Wesleyan University.  Laura is also a Burke Institute-trained moderator. Over the last four years she has moderated numerous sets of groups for clients such as Specialty Brands, Mindscape, Maxis, Broderbund, Segasoft, Joe Boxer, Reel.com, Netcom, and Working Assets.


Angela brings more than 10 years of experience in market research from her own individual consulting, as well as market research positions at Nestlé Beverage Company and Mother's Cake and Cookie Company.  Angela has an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco and a B.S. in Food Science form California Polytechnic State.


Kristen provides research and technical support to the consultants at p.s.l. marketing. As an intern for Brand Ladder, Kristen partnered with p.s.l. marketing in July 2002 to write a white paper. Kristen then joined p.s.l. marketing as a full time research associate in August 2002. Kristen's prior project assignments have included opportunity assessments and benchmarking studies in addition to the organization of focus groups. Kristen received her BS from San Francisco State University where she integrated her interests in marketing strategy, comparative management and international business law. Kristen grew up in Novato and graduated from Novato High School.


JoAnne provides qualitative and quantitative market research support to the consultants at p.s.l. marketing. Prior to joining p.s.l. marketing, JoAnne was a Senior Market Research Analyst at ANG Newspapers. She was responsible for providing demographic data to support the needs of the sales and advertising departments. Before starting at ANG Newspapers, JoAnne was a Sensory Analyst at Nestle Beverage Company. While at Nestle, JoAnne assisted in the implementation of the sensory evaluation program for the beverage categories. Prior to the implementation of the sensory program, JoAnne spent three years supporting the product development needs for all beverage categories.
